The summer transfer window rumour mill has been busy in the seven days since the 2010/11 Premiership campaing came to an end, and today West Bromwich Albion have been linked with a possible move for Getafe's Derek Boateng. Roy Hodgson is believed to be seeking defensive midfield cover for Paul Scharner and Youssuf Mulumbu.
Boateng, who is also believed to be being tracked by Paris St-Germain, Valencia and Villarreal, could be just the kind of player Hodgson is interested in as he looks to strengthen the squad which claimed an 11th place finish in the English top flight.
The 28 year old Ghana international joined Getafe in 2009 from German club FC Cologne.
