West Bromwich Albion boss Roberto Di Matteo has admitted his interest in former Baggies midfielder Jason Koumas. With the loan window still available in the Championship Di Matteo is in search of extra strength to ensure Albion remain in the picture for promotion come May. After a relatively public bust up with midfielder Robert Koren, Koumas could be an ideal solution.
But Koumas left the Hawthorns under a cloud, and may not be a welcomed choice by supporters of the club after off the field issues clouded his on field abilities.
Di Matteo admitts that Koumas is just one of several players Albion have made enquiries about, and a new face at the Hawthorns could arrive before their Tuesday night Championship fixture with Cardiff City.
