Di Matteo in Koren U-Turn?

West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo looks to have made a u-turn over his decision to allow offers for midfielder Robert Koren. The Albion boss had previously indicated that he would listen to offers for the player, after Koren himself made noises about leaving the club to get regular first team football in order to bolster his chances of playing at international level.

A series of clubs, including local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers had expressed an interest in the Slovenian international, but the chances of Koren leaving the Hawthorns this January look to have decreased.

Koren, who has had a recent spell out through injury, made a comeback against Huddersfield during the FA Cup game last weekend.  After the game Di Matteo said that whilst he could guarantee nobody a first team start, all of his current squad were important to him, including Koren.  He also stated that more opportunities to play in the first team would arise as the season enters it's final half.
