Romanian centre-half Gabriel Tamas has agreed to a loan move from Auxerre to West Bromwich Albion until the end of the season, with view to a permanent move to the Hawthorns over the summer. The 26 year old is still awaiting a work permit before he will be allowed to play, but the club hope to have this complete in time for their clash with Nottingham Forest on 8th January. Tamas is the first arrival at the Hawthorns during this January transfer window, with gaffer Roberto Di Matteo expressing an interest in several players, one of whom is reported to be Victor Moses, currently at Crystal Palace.
