Wolves linked with Fortuné

Wolverhampton Wanderers have today been linked with a possible move for West Brom loanee Marc-Antoine Fortuné. The 27 year old striker moved to the Hawthorns during the January transfer window in a bid to net vital goals for Albion during their premiership survival campaign.

Although the league status of the Baggies as yet remains uncertain for next season, several players seem to be attracting interest from top flight clubs.

Newly promoted Wolves are looking to boost their striking options for next season, with Mick McCarthy reportedly interested in sizing up Fortuné as a strike partner for Sylvan Ebanks-Blake.  But Tony Mowbray has expressed an interest in keeping the on-loan forward even if the Baggies are relegated to the Championship.

Albion report that several clubs have expressed an interest in the player, who is still contracted at French club Nancy.  West Brom already have an agreement in place with the French club to make Fortuné’s move a permanent one.  However no such binding agreement has been made between the club and the player, who may prefer the chance to stay in the Premiership should West Brom not avoid the drop.
