Neil Clement has been ruled out for the season today after news that a knee operation he underwent to correct a knee problem was unsuccessful. Clement picked up his knee injury in the pre-season friendly against Real Mallorca. After rescuing his Baggies career last season, Clement had surgery on his knee during September, in the hope that he would recover in time to play some part this season.
Despite being on schedule for recovery, the club have announced that he is very unlikely to feature at all this season, with his target now being to make pre-season training with the rest of the squad in the summer.
In better news, Teixeira will return to training this week after picking up a calf strain during the 2-1 victory over Manchester City before Christmas.
It is also hoped that Zuiverloon, who limped off the field on Sunday against Spurs, will be fit for the forthcoming weekend.
