Surge for FA Cup semi final tickets continues

As expected tickets for West Bromwich Albion’s FA Cup semi final against Portsmouth are already flying, as the club announced last night that sales have now reached upwards of the 20,200 mark. The scramble for tickets began with an online sales system only, and as feared by some fans before sales began, glitches in the system has meant that not all fans have been able to get their tickets easily.

A phone line was opened for ticket sales this week after essential maintenance work, possibly due to demand, was needed to be carried out on the online system.  The work affected the running of online ticket sales throughout parts of Tuesday and Wednesday. 

The important news is that online ticketing is now available again, and to cover demand from season ticket holders for tickets, the deadline has now been extended to Wednesday 25th March, 5pm.  In addition to this the ticket hotline will also be open on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th March until 5pm.  The ticket office remains closed for the selling of Wembley tickets. 

All remaining tickets will be made available later next week via Ticketmaster.  At this time season ticket holders who wish to purchase one additional seat, alongside supporters listed on the clubs official database who have attended at least five home matches this season will be legible to purchase tickets.  Tickets will also be available to supporters who snapped up season tickets for next season BEFORE the date of 17th March 2008.  All subject to availability.
