Maria Costello is nominated for regional award

Northamptonshire’s very own motorcycle racer, history maker and Guinness World record holder, Maria Costello, has been nominated for the Northamptonshire Sports Personality of the Year.

N-Sport are looking for the public to choose their Sports Personality of the Year, and are running a public vote on their website www.northamptonshiresport.org, which will run right up to the event evening - to be held on Wednesday the 19th October at the Northampton Saints Rugby Club.

Maria will be up against some tough competition, and therefore needs your vote! So lets get behind our lass and make her year even more memorable - she deserves it!

“I knew nothing of this competition until I received a letter through the post. I was really surprised to see that I’d been nominated - it’s really exciting, especially as it goes to the public vote on the website,” added a smiling Costello.

So please make your support of Maria Costello heard and vote at www.northamptonshiresport.org. The winner of the vote will be forwarded onto the nominations for the East Midlands BBC Regional Sports Awards in November.
