Rob Clare has celebrated his great start to the season by getting a call up to the England Under 20's Squad for the forthcoming game against Germany. Clare, who made the under 19's squad twice last season, but never made it onto the pitch, has been overlooked by the English Staff until now. England's coach Les Reed said on Clare's selection in the England squad:

"Robert Clare has previously been in and around the international scene and now comes back in. We have tracked his progress closely and obviously he will have benefited from the first team exposure that he's getting at Stockport. I'm hoping it will be like having a new player for us."

The match against Germany takes place on Thursday 24th October and will take place in Dessau in Germany.
