Mike Gascoyne is looking forward to all of the Bridgestone teams working together during 2006, as the tyre manufacture hopes to regain its position at the top of the field. Ferrari, Williams and Midland along with Toyota will share information during tests in order to speed up development. Michelin won every single race last year, except for the American Grand Prix fiasco where only Bridgestone teams competed. At least if that happens again, we will see 10 cars on track instead of last years 6.

Gascoyne welcomed all the Bridgestone teams working together, but pledged his concern if near the end of the season, two Bridgestone teams are fighting for the championship, the doors will close between them.

He told autosport; "I'd hope it goes on at all tests where we're running together and doing tyre testing because it's beneficial," Mike said, "You do something and share the information and sure the others may benefit from it, but ultimately as long as Bridgestone benefits we all get a better tyre and that's how we benefit first and foremost."

"We just have to have a quicker car than the other Bridgestone runners." Toyota was the first of all Bridgestone runners to test their new car back in early December.
