The Centurions have recognised the never-ending work and tremendous loyalty of club stalwart Tommy Sale by naming a stand after him at Hilton Park. Sale, who celebrates his 85th birthday this weekend, has dedicated more than 75 years to helping Leigh RLFC in many ways. He has gone through the guises of supporter, player, director and still works in the office. He even assisted with the building of the club's Hilton Park home in 1947, which if all goes well will soon be consigned to nothing more than a memory.

The club have have renamed the popular "Supporters Stand" at Hilton Park, regularly the most-populated section of the ground on a matchday, the "Tommy Sale Stand" in recognition of Tommy's outstanding work for the club.

Congratulations Mr Sale and many happy returns!
