Leigh stand off Tommy Martyn may have won Super League Grand Final's, a Lance Todd trophy, Man of Steel awards, Challenge Cup's, several caps for Ireland and a World Club Championship winners medal but he has said making his Leigh debut on Sunday will be "the highlight" of his glittering career. With the news that Martyn has fully recovered from his injury and is set to make his long-awaited Leigh debut in the game against Batley Bulldogs on Sunday, the former St Helens star has described his delight at continuing the family dynasty and following in the footsteps of both his father and uncle in pulling on the famous cherry and white jersey and running out at Hilton Park.

Martyn has told of his well-known lifelong love affair in the club, where he would be on the Hiltop Park terraces cheering on the Leythers whenever he wasn't in action that day. Despite winning every honour in the domestic game, Martyn has described the upcoming event of making his Leigh debut as "a dream come true" and the highlight of his career.

Centurions bosses are hopeful that "the Tommy factor" will significantly boost the attendance for Sunday afternoon's game at Hilton Park, with officials confidently predicting a crowd of over 3,000 to see Martyn make his Centurions debut and see if the home side can continue to keep the heat on leaders Salford City Reds as the two battle for the National League One title.
