Jenson Button is still convinced that Honda Racing F1 have what it takes to provide him with that elusive win and, eventually, a world championship title. Asked if he thought the team, struggling through 2006 with inconsistent performance caused by a variety of factors, can deliver, Jenson was adamant.

"Definitely," he commented. "I know they won't give up, I know what they are like.

"Building this new wind tunnel shows their commitment to giving it everything to challenge for the championship," Button added. "It is going to make a big difference."

The wind tunnel, now operational, will help the team move forward, allowing them to use full scale models for more accurate representations. Combined with the retention of their existing half size tunnel, both operating up to 24 hours a day, the investment is expected to reap rewards in 2007.

"Yes I do have a lot of faith in the team to be winning races and challenging for the world championship," said Button, "but I'm not going to put a timescale on it. That's something I can't do.

"We can't be looking towards next year yet, the team are in the background working on next year's car but we want to achieve good results this season."
