Overshadowed by the presence of Nick Fry and Ron Dennis, Honda Racing F1's Jenson Button could barely get a word in in today's Friday Five press conference. Here's what he (briefly) had to say... Is it difficult to slightly have to put a brake on your performance because of the engine?

As a team, for us, it's not so bad because we have a third car. We have Anthony running around. But for the drivers, for Rubens and myself, I think it is pretty tough because we don't do so many laps, because we are looking after the engine and Anthony does most of the running.

From your point of view, have you made progress with race pace?

I think we have. We've made improvements in many areas so far this season that have helped us. It's obvious that we still need to make more, and we know the areas we need to work in. It's not just one or two, it's quite a few little areas, but the progress that we have made has been positive and the mistakes that we have made we have learned from, and I think that is very important.

Looking at Renault and Ferrari on the track, what are your feelings?

Obviously both teams have done a fantastic job this season, but it's easier for us to compare ourselves against Renault because we're both running the same tyres but personally, I think they've both done a fantastic job. They're the only two teams to have won races this year and they both seemed to be very competitive in Nurburgring, so we will have to wait and see where both of them stand this weekend.

You're a race driver and naturally you want to win. Other than winning, what gives you the biggest buzz in Formula One.

I think doing the best performance that you possibly can. That doesn't necessarily mean that you're going to win the race, but making the best of the equipment that you have is always very satisfying. I've had to put up with that for most of this season, but it is the next best thing to winning.
