With a strong engineering background, it's no surprise that Yousuke Sekino ended up in charge of the chassis development project within Honda R&D.

With a strong engineering background, it's no surprise that Yousuke Sekino ended up in charge of the chassis development project within Honda R&D. Sekino joined the Honda Motor Company in 1984 and immediately went to work on suspension development for a series of models, including the very first Odyssey and the legendary NSX.

From 1996 he took over responsibility for chassis design of the Honda Legend, before becoming Chief Engineer in 2000. Two years later he moved to a research role, managing the suspension research division, before being named as the Deputy General Manager of chassis research.

In 2005 Sekino took on an even more specialised role, taking over as Deputy General Manager of chassis research for race vehicles, and heading up the F1 Chassis Technology Development programme at Honda R&D.

For 2006, Sekino moves to sister company Honda Racing Development in Bracknell, heading up the technical side of the programme.
