Button and Sato continue at Barcelona

Jenson Button spent the Thursday morning test session at Barcelona continuing to run through the aerodynamic evaluation that he began on Wednesday, completing 56 laps in chassis 007-06. Takuma Sato ran through a tyre programme in chassis 007-03 looking at the options for the Japanese Grand Prix and completing longer runs on the best of Wednesday's tyres. He completed 86 laps in the morning session.

Jenson continued working through his aerodynamic evaluation in the afternoon session, followed by chassis set-up work. He completed a further 53 laps taking his final lap tally for the day to 109 laps.

Takuma completed his full test programme in the afternoon running the Suzuka tyre options. He completed a further 50 laps bringing his total for the day to an impressive 136 laps.

Both Jenson and Takuma also ran the Suzuka spec Honda engine to its target mileage.

Adam Carroll took over chassis 007-01, the 2006 electronics development car, on Thursday. He ran through various electronic systems checks, completing 53 laps.
