With a little under an hour before the start of the Belgian Grand Prix, thick fog that enveloped the circuit has cleared, being replaced by heavy rain. The weather contributed to a shortening of the GP2 race this morning, which was won by BAR Honda Young Driver Adam Carroll.

With the start being delayed to allow repairs to barriers following accidents in earlier races, the GP2 race saw a number of accidents at the top of Eau Rouge, with the race being stopped after just ten laps.
