Turkey: Button quick, but lines up in P13

Jenson Button followed team mate Takuma Sato's lead in qualifying today, running his car wide at the tricky turn eight, but then went one better by running off again at turn nine. Jenson was on a very quick lap, looking likely to end up in the top three, before grounding the car slightly through turn eight. After recovering that, the car stepped out of line again later in the corner, and there simply wasn't enough tarmac left.

"We saw other teams having issues with the rear end," explains Button. "We didn't have any issues, even so just to make sure we raised the car by a millimetre. We definitely thought we'd have no problems, but obviously we did with both cars.

"It's very disappointing because we're quick here," continues Button. "I'll be P13 on the grid and I'm sure we can still do something good from there.

"It's just a pity we're so far back."
