A few comments from Michael's (Sekret Tageblog) to his fans prior to the season opener in Australia.

With all the tension leading up to the 2011 Grand prix season we should attempt to maintain our sense of humour.

The following are light hearted words spoken just prior to the serious business about to commence in Melbourne. They come from Schumi’s Season Preview.

Shu sends a personal message to his loyal fans telling them he is running at a maximum level of being gung-ho. This season he feels as excited as a nerd kid waiting to get back to school and into the lab to do a lengthy and complicated science experiment.

He goes on to say why. In Barcelona Mercedes achieved a big step with the W02. The step was enough to put me on top of the time sheets. This step might or might not help me to the top step of the podium, but it was a very positive step.

His blog continues with other whimsical topics including his reaction to reading a news article by McLaren’s Whitmarsh. He said that the team may surprise people in Melbourne. Schumacher says it could be true if they can manage to run 30 laps without breaking down. If you compare the number of laps Ferrari are running to McLaren you can see that reliability is in question.

Another quip deals with his great old small friend Ecclestone who has been hitting the news only in the way Bernie can. Michael says he’s full of amusing things to say and you can never know when to take him seriously.

This week he told Australian reporters that the Melbourne Grand Prix is as important race as the Monaco GP. He’s right and for me it’s also the same, they are both worth 25 points to win.

Some more funny Bernie(isms). About going green; he hates the smell of eco-engines. He also concludes that people come to the races for the noise, but in Turkey and Australia this is an exception. They feel formula one is a TV sport and if that’s the case, F1 should bring Murray Walker back.

Michael goes on to say the season opener is going to be a great big shake up when we see how everybody has done with their cars and how good the commentators eyesight is trying to spot the difference between the new Pirelli tyre colour markings. We all know David Coulthard’s eyesight and judgment is not the best.

Lastly MS feels the racing will be good. He is looking to forward to kicking Nico Rosberg’s behind in a fatherly way. We have taken out a bet that if he wins a grand prix first I have to be nice to his race engineer Hamish McSporran for the entire season or dress up like Sir Richard Branson for a whole weekend. The first option is the best, but my dear friends I do not intend to do either.

So there it you have it; the lighter side of Michael Schumacher.

I am used to some rough humour "Kimi style" so i am not sure how funny this is... Maybe Schu has same kind of humour like Terminator. "I´ll be back"

...anyways i know he makes me laugh when he trashs Alonso...

Yea, he's well know for his sense of humour, he's a laugh a minute. I don't understand the DC jibe, was it a reference to him crashing into DC from behind at spa - which was obviously DC's fault for being in his way??

having the guy in front ( in a cloud of spray and being lapped) start cruising on the racing line might have something to do with it. some may say that that accident was of a benefit to DC's teammate championship bid... especialy at that point in the season....

Some might say that there is no racing line in the wet / spray. Some might also say that rear end crashes are the fault of the guy behind.
Some might say it was the same coming out of the pits and running HH Frentzen clean off the road. Oops didnt see him, never mind.

some might say we were discussing spa.....

yes there are 2 schools of thought on that; conventional and yours....
