Malaysia: Rubens gets engine penalty

Rubens Barrichello will start the Malaysian Grand Prix from the back of the grid, following an engine change during yesterday’s qualifying sessions. Barrichello suffered a gearbox issue in qualifying, and had to swap to the spare car, and that was not set up to the Brazilians requirements. Given the time constraints in qualifying, the team did not have the time to swap the engines over, leaving Rubens with a new Honda unit.

It’s hardly going to affect things, however. Barrichello qualified in 19th position for today’s race, and will now start just three places further back.
