The weather conditions remained warm with blustery winds in Spain on Thursday as Jenson Button joined the Honda Racing F1 Team at Jerez for the second day of the test.
Taking over in chassis RA106-06 from Anthony Davidson, Jenson began his running with a short aero evaluation as he worked on finding a good balance in the car. He then spent the remainder of the day focusing on tyre work to evaluate the options for the forthcoming Brazilian Grand Prix. Jenson completed 112 laps today, setting the fastest time of the day - a 1m 16.970s.
James Rossiter continued his running in chassis RA106-02 for a second day. He completed some early set-up runs to establish a good balance before working on an aero evaluation. James spent the afternoon session looking at the tyre options for the next races, alongside electronic systems and suspension work. James also completed 112 laps today.
Anthony Davidson will re-join the test tomorrow for Friday, taking over in chassis RA106-02 from James.
