Moffet Says Sorry/ Warriors Return

In a www.CelticWarriors.co.uk exclusive WRU chief executive has given an exclusive interview in which he admits he was wrong for ditches the Warriors and promises they will be back for the 2005/06 season.

In the exclusive interview Moffett said "This years 6 nations was top notch and Im chuffed to bits Wales did well because it saved my job, it was a complete fluke because this new structure Ive implemented is a complete joke"

He then went on to say "At the end of the 2004 season the WRU took control of the Warriors and we made the financial decision to liquidate them."

"Looking back at that decision it was a shocker, the side who after just a few months beat the best side I have ever seen in Europe"

"I can now categorically say I APOLOGISE to the people of Pontypridd and Bridgend and anyone else who followed the Warriors"

"For next years 2005/06 the WRU will enter talks with the Celtic League, ERC and the IRB to ensure the Warriors are allowed back into the Heineken Cup and Celtic League"

How Will They Be Funded

"The WRU recorded record turnover during this years 6 Nations and the cost savings plans we have implemented ensured there is plenty in the pot so no one will lose out"
