Richard Jenkins Tribute Game

Bridgend Sports take on the South Wales Fire Service at the Bandstand Field in Newbridge Fields on Friday August 20th to honour hero fireman, Richard Jenkins. For further details read on

The 28 year old openside flanker died in May while tackling a blaze in a disused Ely bingo hall.

The game will be preceeded by a minutes silence in memory of Mr Jenkins, a father-of-two, from Cefn Glas.

All proceeds from the game will go to Richard's family and after match drinks will be served at Bridgend Tennis Club.

Its hoped the game can become an annual fixture, come along and show your support.

Osprey's players Gavin Henson and Adrian Durston will be making appearances for the Sports.
