The Warriors Situation - By Exile
We really have made an effort,
tho it's not what we truely sought,
to merge Bridgend and Ponty together.
Into regional rugby we bought.
The Warriors was born from this merger,
tho in existance for only a year,
support has been steadily growing
and to us this new team has grown dear.
We've had plenty of tantrums froms Samuels,
threats of mergers of us and the Blues.
Now we've been sold to the Union,
and our future is now theirs to choose.
and we in the Valleys are worried,
that our team will be taken away,
and no more to the ground on a weekend,
will we go to watch our team play.
No more heroes to inspire our children,
to follow them into the game,
the talent would thus all be wasted,
and who would we look to for blame?
to you who've the power to save us,
to see Valley's rugby remains,
so don't let it become just a memory,
now that you've taken over the reigns
So this this poem's to you Mr Moffet,
your decision we all now await.
The Valleys and Wales needs the Warriors,
if Welsh rugby's once more to be great.
