The Warriors winning streak was brought to a halt on Friday night as they were defeated by the resurgent Ospreys at the Gnoll, for match thoughts read on Thought it was a very poor performance by the Warriors, and maybe the Ospreys wanted victory more than we did.

We can moan about the referee, and about Terblanche's try(which to everybody bar two people was a knock on) but we were very naive and predicatable behind the scrum.

Case in question. It looked as if Lyn Jones had done his homework on the threat posed by John Bryant (who, in my opinion was by far the best Warrior on the field) by bringing in Elvis Saveali in from the wing to OH when the Warriors were attacking and putting Connor on the wing.

At no time did we seek to take advantage of that by isolating Dafydd or Gareth Wyatt against him. Instead we played to their strength by running directly at them.

Sean James had a mare of game up against James Storey, and that is not the first time that has happened. Silio started the game poorly by knocking on Henson's up and under and that appeared to affect his confidence. I think we were more of a threat when Paul John came on. But to be honest to Silio, that was his worst game for a while.

It looked as if Maama was carrying an injury, and should have been replaced sooner. And the O's back row kept Cory Harris quiet and to paly more in defence rather than offence.

On too many occassions there were backs caught up in rucks and mauls with the forwards behind the scrum, which slowed the game down to suit the O's.

I also thought that there was a distinct lack of atmosphere there as well. Shame I had to pay £12 for it.

Sorry to sound so negative, but it was that kind of performance. Lets hope now that Kevin Morgan will be fit to face Ulster, and move Gareth Wyatt on to the wing, keep Mustoe on the other (really impressed me so far) and move Dafydd to outside centre alongside Bryant.

I would also be tempted to field a backrow of Harris, Jones and Bryan.
