The Warriors travel to France to take on Perpignan this weekend in their second Heineken Cup group match. For details on both teams plus a preview of the game read on.

Following a less than convincing win against Calvisano last Friday the Warriors will be looking to pick up 4 vital Heineken Cup points when they travel to Perpignan for their second Heineken Cup match.

The Warriors will be without hooker Mefin Davies who took a big hit in training this week injuring his eye and as a result he will miss the next 4 to 6 weeks. Taking his place is Matthew Rees and Chris Balshen gets a call up to the bench as cover.

Perpignan suffered at the hands of Wasps last weekend losing by 28 points to 7 but nothing should be read into this result as French teams perform much better in front of their home crowd and we shouldn't forget that Perpignan were the Heineken Cup finalists last season, defeating Llanelli and Leinster before losing to Toulouse in the final.

Perpignan have named a squad for this weekends game (see below) and after reading the Perpignan website they appear to be taking us very seriously. It mentions that both Bridgend and Pontypridd have taken part in the Heineken Cup in the past and that the Warriors had 10 players at the World Cup. It also mentions the fact that 14 of the 15 who started against Calvisano have played international rugby before (Cory Harris being the only one who hasn't yet made an international appearance) and that they are sure that there will be a good atmosphere at this weekends game between the two sides.
