New manager

Barry Town have appointed former Derby and Hereford boss as Colin Addison as Director of Football relegating David Hughes to Assistant Manager. Addison has a wealth of experience from a managerial career spanning more than 30 years, including spells in charge of Hereford United, Swabsea City, Scarborough, Yeovil Town and Merthyr Tydfil as well as taking roles at Atletico Madrid, Celta Vigo, Derby County and West Bromwich Albion.

The news will come as a blow to young manager David Hughes, but the news would not have come as a surprise to the ex-Cardiff City defender as the desperate Dragons failed to record a single win during his spell as boss at Jenner Park.

Addison's last club was Conference strugglers Forest Green, whom he departed just before Christmas.

He takes over a club who are staring relegation to the Welsh League in the face, and they currently lie stranded 10 points off 2nd bottom Carmarthen Town with a vital run of games coming up.
