Barry Town boss David Hughes was furious following his team's 8-0 humilation at Rhyl in the Premier Cup Quarter Final on Tuesday night. However our other 2 WP teams put up a far better fight against league opposition, despite both falling to home defeats. CARLOS EDWARDS

HUGHES HITS OUT AFTER 'DISGRACEFUL' PERFORMANCE
In his post-drubbing BBC interview,Hughes fumed: "If I could sign eleven I would do. I said to them at half time in there, nobody else wants 'em - that's why they're playing for us, because of our situation. I certainly wouldn't want them in the Welsh Alliance,let alone the League of Wales. They'll be playing for the 'Dog And Duck' on a Sunday.

Hughes added: The next three games are absolutely massive games, but if we turn up on Saturday with those players, we'll get beat by six again". Barry currently lie stranded at the foot of the Welsh Premier table, with just two points to show from 19 games.

Rhyl raced into a 5-0 half time lead, and Hughes conceded that "Rhyl are a good side." Meanwhile, league leaders T.N.S. fell to a 2-0 home defeat to local neighbours Wrexham, who won courtesy of a goal apiece from Hector Sam and Stephen Roberts. Caersws went even closer to progressing, after pushing 3rd division Swansea City to extra time, but 2 Swans goals in the additional time, killed off the Bluebirds hopes, losing 4-2. Caersws manager Mickey Evans told the BBC that he was 'proud of his team' who were on their way through until a 90th minute Karl Connolly header sent the game into extra time. Both T.N.S. and Caersws attracted over 1000 to their games, whilst exiles Newport could only attract 800 for the visit of local rivals Cardiff City to Spytty Park, which the visitors won 1-0.

The Semi-Final draw has been kind to Rhyl, with them being drawn at home to Swansea City. Lilywhites manager John Hulse will be confident his team can cause an upset at Belle Vue, when ex-striker Lee Trundle returns to the club in a Swansea shirt. In the other game, Wrexham play Cardiff City at the Racecourse Ground.
