Caernarfon Town have announced the signing of ex-Wrexham and Stockport County central midfielder Waynne Phillips. The Caernarfon born veteran returns home after a nightmare three years of injury hell. CARLOS EDWARDS

PHILLIPS JOINS HOME-TOWN CLUB
Ex-Wrexham midfielder Waynne Phillips is looking to put a 3 year injury nightmare behind him after signing for his home-town club yesterday.

The experienced central midfielder, who broke his leg after just 6 minutes of the 2002-03 season at Scunthorpe, has just returned to full training after having a metal pin removed from his leg following a frustrating year on the sidelines.

Caernarfon Town Chairman, Adie Jones, was delighted to bring back 'Rushie' to the Oval and told www.caernaerfontown.net "He will obviously be a valuable addition to the squad and his experience will go a long way towards strengthening the midfield."

Phillips follows fellow ex-team-mate Gareth Owen in joining his home town Welsh Premier club this season, with 'Gazza' now team captain at Connah's Quay Nomads.
