Stephen Matthias questions Caersws' super striker
    Graham Evans.....

1 WHAT HAS BEEN THE MOST SATISFYING MOMENT OF YOUR CAREER SO FAR?

There have been a few - signing a 2 year professional contract for Aston Villa in 1998, representing and scoring for Wales at both Schoolboy and Semi-Pro Level, being voted LoW Player of The Year 2000/01 by the managers and also finishing top scorer that season. Also, the experience of playing in Europe this year was a great achievement for everyone at Caersws FC.

2 DO YOU THINK YOU CAN PLAY FOR THE WALES FULL TEAM ONE DAY?

It would be a dream come true to represent Wales in a full International, but I think if there was any chance at all then I'd have to get back into the pro game - which is what I'm aiming for at the moment.

3 DO YOU SET YOURSELF A "GOAL TARGET " EACH SEASON?

20 league goals is always a target I look for at the start of each season, I scored 34 goals in all competitions last season but missed out on my target of 20 league goals by 2! I'm hoping to make amends for that this season!

4 WHO IS THE TOUGHEST OPPONENT YOU HAVE COME ACROSS IN THE LEAGUE OF WALES OVER THE YEARS?

There have been a number of battles in the past few seasons, the pairing of Finlay and Philpott at Aberystwyth a few seasons ago was always a physical game but I'm not one to shirk a challenge. Afan Lido on their home patch is another tricky one - they must be one of the best home sides in the league. And also playing against the top sides is always tough, but they are the games that I look forward to as I feel it brings out my best perfomances.

5 IF YOU COULD PICK A TEAM OF 11 PLAYERS TO PLAY FOR CAERSWS FROM THE LEAGUE OF WALES WHO WOULD YOU GO FOR?

I'd have to pick the current Caersws squad, who knows what would have happenend last year if our season would have started in August instead of mid-November!!!!

I could pick a few teams! My current LoW team not including Caersws players would be:
Brian Thomas (Afan Lido)
Dean Tuft (CQN)
Gary Lloyd (Barry)
Steve Evans (TNS)
Andrew York (Barry)
Kenny Burgess (Bangor)
Simon Davies (Bangor)
Ricky Evans (TNS)
Nathan Cotterall (Barry)
Jamie Moralee (Barry)
Mattie Davies (Cwmbran)

Thanks Graham for your answers and best wishes for the new season. If you can arrange an interview with a Welsh Premier related person(s) please get in touch. All contributions are greatly appreciated, please send to lofwwebmaster@yahoo.co.uk
