Rushden and diamonds entertain Southend this Saturday and will be looking for their first points against the Essex side that were 1 of only 4 teams to do the double over the Nene park outfit last season.
After the thrashing at Cambridge last weekend the diamonds will have to be at their best to prevent the in-form Southend from walking away with 3 points. They have taken maximum points in their last 3 games and will be looking to continue this form.
Southend young keeper, Darryl Flahaven has only conceded 3 goals away from home and the defence has played a major part in keeping the opposition at bay too.
Former Rushden youngster Mark Rawle has bagged a few goals already this season and he’ll surely want to do well against his old club. It has also been announced that Ruel Fox is currently training with the shrimpers and may eventually be a part of their team before the weekend transfer deadline.
After a massive 12-1 victory against Newquay in midweek, Rushden will hopefully be full of confidence coming into this game. There are no new fresh injuries to worry about, although Bignot is still fighting for fitness as he recovers from his injury from earlier in the season.
