The FA have made a serious mistake letting today’s game go ahead, we will feel we have been cheated as a result of something which was beyond our control.
Have the FA in some way done us a favour, that we got our European football and can live safe in the knowledge that if goons win today and we lose or draw – we will at least have taken the gloss of any kind of triumph at Highbury. This is not a view I subscribe to but I’m sure many will. But given the timing of this I’m sure the FA were left with no other alternative to make the game go ahead, if anyone can find a rule book on this kind of thing then please let us know.
We may win today’s game still, what ever happens we are still 90 mins away from Euro football be it Champions League or UEFA Cup. The difference between the two being some £20million pounds in revenue, and one Champions League final featuring one half of North London.
Well not a way to start the day of drama and I’m sure the drama will not end here, remember 90mins away from 4th no matter what team we field, hero’s could come and be counted today, this is also Goran’s last opportunity to wear a Spurs shirt for the first team.
What a season. . . but will it end in an anti- climax !?!?
