I'll grant Chelsea the fact that they had a good last 10 years. They've amassed 2 Premiership titles (both bought), 2 League Cups, 2 FA Cups and a Euro Cup Winners Cup, mainly by borrowing so much money the club was about to go into liquidation until by luck. .
(whether good or bad) they were bought out by you-know-who.
But, just a moment..., I believe they were founded in 1905 (when, for instance, Spurs already had quarter century of history and an FA Cup win as non-leaguers to boot).
Between then (1905) and 1995 a full 90 years Chelsea won... erm....
One Division Championship (with the lowest ever points total) in 1955 (only half a century to finally win something), a League Cup (1965), an FA Cup (eventually in 1970) and a Euro Cup Winners Cup the following year.
Four trophies in 90 glorious years. Whoopi doo.
And this great club has managed to get itself relegated from the 1st division six times in its short little history (and that's not counting 1915 when only the enlargement of the division saved them for yet another failure to live with the top boys.
Big club, my backside.
