To Dare is to Do

The season is upon us. After the disappointment, in terms of British success, (not that Arsenal fans will care), of the World Cup, Wimbledon, the European Championship Athletics and other sporting events The season is upon us. After the disappointment, in terms of British success, (not that Arsenal fans will care), of the World Cup, Wimbledon, the European Championship Athletics and other sporting events I’ve probably already blocked out, we find ourselves, once again, eager, (and perhaps thankful), for the start of the new Premiership season.

The season gives us Spurs fans much to look forward to, especially as Steve McLaren’s new era of English football includes the possession of six full England internationals (soon, anyway, after Dawson is capped tonight or in the near future), and another two in the under-21 squad, among our ranks.

Last year, some may say, ended on a sour note, but what was achieved in the League must not be brushed aside. Who would have ever thought we would be fighting for our very own Champions League place on the final day of the season? However, we must not dwell over what has been and gone, however impressive it may be. The time has come where Tottenham Hotspur Football Club has a superb opportunity to make one of the few places in the top echelons of the best league in the world their home. This must be taken. The well known motto of the club, ‘Audere est Facere’ has been modified to it’s English equivalent; ‘To Dare Is To Do.’ The club must see these words under its nose and heed them wisely.

We have already signed excellent additions in the form of Berbatov, Zokora and Assou-Ekotto. However, to push on even further with our improvements, there are crucial areas that everyone knows must be improved. Levy, Commoli and Jol, I am sure, have been working tirelessly to bring in the right players, and whilst having every faith within them, they must leave no stone unturned in their attempts to do so.

Tottenham Hotspur and its supporters deserve nothing but the best, and now is the time to go out and grab the success we all deserve, these chances don’t come around often. To Dare Is To Do… let’s do it.
