It seems most likely that Alan Tate will be granted permission ahead of Nardiello and Wilson, as he himself admitted this week that he is nowhere near getting into the first team at Manchester United.

However his fellow United team-mate, Nardiello and Middlesbrough's Mark Wilson could be prevented in playing in the match by the Premiership clubs as both have already made first team appearances at their respective clubs.

If Flynn was to lose any of these three players it would be a major blow to Swansea's cause. Mark Wilson has played in every game since arriving at The Vetch in September, while Nardiello and Tate have just signed on loan the pair are already pivotal to the Swans cause.

Nardiello has the huge task of filling Lee Trundle's magic daps for a month and he started brightly on Saturday setting up Mark Wilson for the only goal in a 1-0 win at Rochdale. While Tate is one of just three natural central defenders at the club.

"I've got to ask the question whether we can play them against Rushden," said Flynn.

"I'm hoping they will be available but I don't know if that's the case at the moment.

"We're pleased with a home draw but we know it's going to be a tough game.

"But we did particularly well down there last year in a live Sky TVgame and hopefully we can repeat that."
