The Stadium Company have asked supporters to refrain from continous standing at matches. New Page 1

The Stadium Company have issued a request to all football fans about the situation of standing at matches.  They are asking fans to stop standing throughout the whole game, they must stop it now as the number of participants in this annoying habit is increasing all the time.

The act of Parliament states this:

"All association football clubs in England and Wales who hold Premiership and First Division status must have stadiums that are "All Seated".  Any clubs who are promoted to the First Division must become all seated within three years of promotion.  Clubs subsequently relegated to the Second Division cannot revert to standing terraces."

After this act was passed standing persistently throughout a game has become an offence and the stewards will probably give you a "telling off".

The MacAlpine qualifies for this law so we must remain on our bottoms at matches but the officials said in a letter that the problem occurs in the minority rather than the majority.

Do you think we should have to sit down?  Is it annoying you?  Post your views on the message board.
