David Taylor is currently in talks with Premiership outfit, Bolton Wanderers, over a transfer fee for Delroy Facey who left Town for the Lancashire side last week.



In a shock move, the young striker was snapped up by Bolton early last week in a two year deal.



22 year old Facey’s Town contract expires at the end of this month and his contract at Bolton starts July 1. Due to Facey’s age he is not eligible to move on a Bosman free and Town are looking for a six figure sum from the Premiership side which includes such players as Jay Jay Okocha and Youri Djorkaeff.



Town chairman David Taylor said, “I have been in discussion with Bolton over the exact fee that we would like for Delroy. The amount is something that I cannot disclose at this moment as it could jeopardise the negotiations.



“The ball is very much in Bolton’s court at the moment. We have said what we think is a reasonable fee and we should hopefully know by this Wednesday. If we cannot reach a mutually beneficial agreement then the matter will have to be referred to a tribunal.”



“I do not think that it would be wise at this stage to speculate on what we will be doing with the money. We have not got any money at the moment and, until we do and we know how much, it is not sensible to comment on how it will be spent.”
