Ninth and Twelfth in Qualifying

A rather lackluster qualifying for Mclaren sees Kimi Raikkonen only managing ninth in the top ten shoot-out, whilst team mate Juan pablo Montoya didn't even make it there. The Renault's look strong with their 1-2 start, while the Ferrari's have good straight line speed on row 2.

It was looking to be an all-Honda front row until in the dying moments of qualifying, both Toyota's went faster than Button. Therefore it's an all-Japanese row 3 and 4, with Toyota the filling in a Honda sandwich.
