David Coulthard angrily dismissed rumours that Juan Pablo Montoya will replace him at Red Bull in 2007 to reporters in Australia. With the second seat at McLaren unconfirmed there are constant stories about who will run alongside Fernando Alonso at Vodafone McLaren Mercedes in 2007.

For 2005, David Coulthard was dropped by McLaren in favour of current driver Juan Pablo Montoya. After driving for the team since 1996, when Kimi Raikkonen joined the team in 2002 replacing Mika Hakkinen, Coulthard was seen to be regualarly outperformed by the unexperienced youngster.

Now the rumours say Coulthard could once again lose his racing seat at the team that saved his career after McLaren.

"He has just got to shut up and get on with it. I can't comment on rumours, I can only comment on fact. The statistics show that relative to Kimi, he has not done as well as I did," the Scot said.

"I know that McLaren use that kind of information to make decisions, and he simply hasn't done anything remarkable...one year in, he has had a clear indication from McLaren that they are not that impressed."
