Rosberg to McLaren rumour cooled

Recent speculation about Nico Rosberg moving to McLaren has been cooled today. Reports stated that Rosberg Jr. could move from Williams to partner Fernando Alonso at the McLaren team in 2007. However Nico Rosberg and a Mercedes spokesperson have denied the rumours...

Although stating that Mercedes were indeed impressed by Nico's performances so far, he denied that any such talks between Ron Dennis and Williams boss Frank Williams have taken place.

“I am very happy where I am,” Rosberg insisted. “Williams supported me a lot, they helped me to reach Formula One, and it's all going well so far. ”

Nico's father, ex world champion Keke Rosberg also denied the switch rumour, which the spokesperson for Mercedes described as normal under the circumstances that the second driver at McLaren next year has still undecided.
