On a partially cloudy day it was Briton Jenson Button who took the glory today at Barcelona, taking his Honda through a stormer of a lap late in the day - lap 115 of the 116 he completed!

The Honda drivers were separated by the Renaults of Fisichella and Alonso who were the only others to break into the exclusive 1m13 club. Fisi and Alonso were both within 0.042 of Jenson's pace-setting time, and all three are only four tenths off of the lap record held by Button from 2004, with a V10 engine!

After Barrichello, three tenths off his team mate, were both McLarens. It was Juan Pablo Montoya ahead of Kimi Raikkonen, and by quite a margin - 1.54 seconds! McLaren accumulated over 976kms during the day, the second busiest team after Renault and Honda.

Takuma Sato again took the Super Aguri SA05 out today after his poor run on Tuesday. He managed 58 laps today, considerably more than his first run, and was within 3 seconds of Midland driver Christijan Albers.
