Pedro: 'We made a step forward'

McLaren tester Pedro de la Rosa seems to be in a confident mood after his week testing in Valencia. In the team's official press release Pedro told how "the MP4-21 is definately improving."

The Spaniard went on to say "we made a step forward this week and are looking to carry this momentum forward into the next test at Barcelona."

de la Rosa spent Tuesday and Friday in the car and covered an impressive 860+ kms.

Juan Pablo Montoya also pointed out that the team "have made some progress" but continued "there is still a lot of work to do."

It was, as Kimi Raikkonen said, "an encouraging week", with the Finn setting the fastest V8 time at Valencia since winter testing for 2006 began.
