Round 3- Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain

Back in 2004 when the first ever race took place in Bahrain, many people didn’t think that hosting a grand prix in the middle east would be a good idea; especially due to their being the second gulf war near by.

This has probably affected the grand prix attendance, since it opened back in April 2004 the Bahrain International Circuit has failed to fill its grandstands, despite this, Formula one supremo Bernie Eccelstone wants to have another grand prix in the middle east, this too will have a massive effect on the Bahrain Circuit.

Contrary to what many people think, the middle east isn’t all about oil, war and nuclear power, its actually a much nicer place than many people give it credit for. I have some friends that recently visited Dubai (which is near Bahrain). It’s so good, that I’m planning to go soon!

So the Middle East isn’t all bad, their Formula one crazy, and if you book your tickets soon, you can get a special deal which gives you a discount on hotels and accommodation.

There are many exhausting unique features such as sizzling temperatures that reach 50°C, and in that heat, not even a 200mph as the drivers will be feeling can reduce that to a fresher air. In hot grand prix like this, drivers lose litres of water and can suffer from serious dehydration, and when the drivers need the reaction times of fighter pilot, it makes the Bahrain Grand Prix just that bit more exciting.

With the huge one kilometre straight at the start of the lap which leaves the cars travelling at about 200mph, which then they have to break down to under 100mph. The whole track is fresh and modern, with the searing heat and the threat of sand entering the engine, it’s a very tough race on both the drivers and the engines.
