Today at the Japanese Grand prix it was Fernando Alonso to take the checkered flag and ruin Ferraris hopes of an 8th title unless Alonso fails to score at Brazil. Meanwhile we finished a solid 5th ahead of the struggling toyotas.
Fernando Alonso took the seventh win of the year meanwhile Felipe Massa took second and Fisichella boosted the constructor hopes for Renault in third. Jenson Button took his second consecutive 4th place again running very solid. How ever boosting hopes for the Mclaren team Kimi Raikkonen took 5th place and began to reel in button in the finishing laps this was a good result for us because we started down in 11th the Toyota team gave us a life line during the race as they dropped off the pace and the front runners and gave us the perfect opertunity to finish fith and take some soild points.
A strugguling Jarno Trulli came home to finish 6th while a disapointed Ralf Schumacher came home in 7th and just scraping in 8th ahead of team mate Robert Kubica Nick Heidlfeld was the last of the point scorers. Robert Kubica finished in 9th and ending a long hard season out of the top ten for williams is Nico Rosberg. While a very happy Takuma Sato finished his home race in 15th beating a spyker and a toro rosso a good result for Super Aguri in front of home fans hopefully a lot more to come from them next year.
