On day two of the Ordina Open in ‘sHertogenbosch Mary Pierce, Maria Kirilenko and Barbara Schett won their first match. Pierce defeats Gagliari 6-2, 6-4. Kirilenko defeats Camarin 6-4, 6-1 and Schett had a walkover after Loit withdrew before playing.
Day two of
the Ordina Open in ‘sHertogenbosch saw another player withdraw from the list.
After Michaella Krajicek had to retire from her first round match, both Eleni
Daniilidou and Emilie Loit withdrew before stepping on court.
Daniilidou
injured herself on the June 19th during practice in Birmingham, she is
suffering from a right Achilles strain. Emilie Loit is having problems with her
right plantar fasciitis knee injury. It is something that troubled her in the
past and reoccurred again during practice. Loit’s opponent Barbara Schett
advanced into the next round with a walkover.
Scheduled
for today are the Russian No.1 seed Nadia Petrova who is playing Jelena
Jankovic of Serbia and second seed Swiss Patty Schnyder who will play Anabel
Medina Garriques of Spain. Mary Pierce of France will meet Russian youngster
Maria Kirilenko.

Czech Denisa
Chladkova meets Lina Krasnoroutskaya of Russia and Austrian Barbara Schett will
play her first match against Flavia Pennetta of Italy.
