The 5th day of the WTA Tour Championship 2003, Kim Clijsters from Belgium won against American Jennifer Capriati 4:6 6:3 6:0 and French Amélie Mauresmo beats Belgium Justine Henin-Hardenne 7:6 3:6 6:3 in the best match of the Championships so far. The 5th day, and it isn’t over yet.

We saw two great matches. The first match was Kim Clijsters against Jennifer Capriati. Jennifer Capriati won the first set 6:4.

In the second set she lead 3:2 and took an injury break. After that Jennifer Capriati wasn’t the same person she was and started having trouble moving. Kim Clijsters easily won the second and the third set 6:3 6:0. The defending Champ is in the final for the second.

The next and possible the best match of the Championships was Amélie Mauresmo against Justine Henin-Hardenne.

It was an exciting first set; Mauresmo won it 7:6. Than in the second set Justine came back. She won it 6:3. In the end Amélie won in a great match 7:6 3:6 6:3.

They both played on a high level but at the end Mauresmo produced less mistakes and played better as Henin-Hardenne.

Tonight it will be the last day; we will see the last match of the season, the final of the WTA Tour 2003 Championship. Kim Clijsters against Amélie Mauresmo. The No 1 against the No 6.

They played against each other earlier this year; Rome, Us Open, Filderstadt and a few days ago in the round robin. And Kim Clijsters always left the court as a winner. Amélie Mauresmo plays on her top level beating the new No 1 Justine Henin –Hardenne last night.

Kim Clijsters might be the favourite but nothing is impossible for Amélie Mauresmo.
