The show must go on
8 woman, 5 days, 3 Million Dollars, one champion.
Yesterday it was the second day of the big show in Los Angeles. There were 3 great matches. Amélie Mauresmo against Elena Dementieva, Kim Clijsters against Chanda Rubin and Justine Henin-Hardenne. Now we know the winners are Mauresmo (6:3 6:2), Clijsters (6:4 6:4) and Henin-Hardenne (7:5 5:7 7:5).
Any surprises?
Every match was great but in the end the favourites won.
The match of the day? That’s an easy question. Definitely the last match of the day, Henin-Hardenne against Myskina. Myskina went quickly away, 5:0. Than Justine started a great comeback. She won the first set 7:5.
It was a hard, exciting match for both. Justine wasn’t 100% fit and she didn’t play her best tennis but in the end she won 7:5 5:7 7:5 and showed us against that she is a real fighter.
This evening we will see the next matches:Ai Sugiyama against Anastasia Myskina, Justine Henin-Hardenne against Jennifer Capriati, Kim Clijsters against Amélie Mauresmo.
The favourites? It’s hard to say but maybe Myskina, Henin-Hardenne and Clijsters. But that’s not sure. Everyone can win. But we can say one thing for sure; it will be a great night again.
