Justine Henin-Hardenne and Kim Clijsters will contest in the French Open Final on Saturday after they won their semi-final matches in different styles and circumstances Clijsters was the first to advance after an up and down performance through the first set with Petrova gaining a set point chance at 5-4 but the Belgian number 1 came back after a drop shot which bounced twice on the net before falling over to the Russian's side allowing Clijsters to win the next three games and won the first set 7-5. The second set was more one way traffic has Clijsters sailed through 6-1 and into her second French Open final against Justine Henin-Hardenne.

Henin-Hardenne was in tremendous form throughout the first set making beautiful winners with her phenomenal backhand's down the line with the world number one Serena Williams unable to do anything about it and only winning 2 games in that set losing it 6-2. Williams could not find the mood which she was in against Mauresmo 2 days before but started to motor in the second set but her game was far from world number one level and somehow won the second set 6-4 but could have easily gone Henin-Hardenne's way.

In the third set Serena quickly went to a 4-2 lead and the match looked all over has Henin-Hardenne's game started to decline but then came back from nowhere levelling it at 4-4 then breaking the William''s for 5-4 and to serve out for the match. A disastrous service game from the petite Belgian star allowed the defending champion back in for 5-5 then Henin-Hardenne broke back and served it out in a stylish way. The crowd booed Serena all the way through the third set which clearly rattled her and did not wait at the net for Justine instead quickly racing to her chair and exiting from the stadium with even more boos.
