The QF are here, and the line up is complete. Here's how the players advanced, and the line up for the quarter finals which will take place on Friday and Saturday. The 1rd was, as expected, packed with some great tennis. Despite only one seed crashing out, there were two big upsets in this round.

The best match so far was the upset of Lindsay Davenport, who failed to convert seven match points against Monica Seles. Seles fought back from 6-2 down in the second set tie break to take the match 3-6 7-6 6-3.

The other big upset was, once again, Magdalena Maleeva's win over Hantuchova. Hantuchova was close to tears towards the end, and despite a valiant attempt to claw her way back into the match, she eventually went down 6-2 7-5 after throwing away a 4-1 lead in the second.

Elsewhere, both Williams sisters are comfortably through after Venus ousted Patty Schnyder and Serena overcame Anna Smashnova. Jelena Dokic and Capriati have both bounced back to form after some disappointing results lately. Dokic fought hard to beat Russia's Anastasia Myskina, whilst Capriati beat Silvia Farina Elia.

Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin complete the line up, and now the two Belgians will go head to head for the 7th time in their professional careers. Clijsters leads 4-2 overall, and won the biggest match between the two in the Roland Garros SF, but Henin came out on top in the previous meeting between the two at the Rome SF with a 7-5 6-2 scoreline.
