England U21's have chosen Sixways as their home ground for this season U21's Six nations

There will be a great opportunity to watch England's rising stars when the England U21 and U19 teams battle it out in their Six Nations home games. 

The RFU has announced that England U21s will play their home fixtures this season at Worcester's Sixways and England U19s' home ground will be NEC Harlequins' The Stoop.  Prior to the Six Nations encounters, England U19s will also play a development game against Australia Schools at Gloucester RFC on 2nd December.

Said Worcester Warriors Chairman Cecil Duckworth, OBE, “Everyone here at Worcester is very excited to be hosting the two international Under 21 Six Nations games against Wales and Ireland early next year.

"England Under 21s have played at Sixways in the past and with players like Jonny Wilkinson, Lawrence Dallaglio, Richard Hill, Will Greenwood and Kyran Bracken having come through their ranks I have no doubt that we will once again play host to some real stars in the making. With the superb facilities we have on offer here at Sixways, we are looking forward to two successful evenings of international rugby.”

Said Jim Mallinder, England U21 and National Academy coach, "We are thrilled to be going to Worcester.  We were well looked after last year at Northampton and the year before in Gloucester and it's fantastic for us to continue at another great premiership ground.

"Being a well organised club with a good fan base in a central location we're looking forward to some big crowds.  Creating these pressure environments is great experience for the players and good development for them in the long run.

Nigel Redman, England U19 coach said, “The U19s are a young and exciting squad who will learn a huge amount from their Six Nations matches and playing at a stadium like The Stoop will add to that experience.

"We hope that having our home games across the A316 from Twickenham Stadium on the night before the test matches will mean that lots of England fans will come along to support the next generation of players.”

"The introduction of the Lexus Stand earlier this year has enhanced the facilities we have to offer at the Stoop, making it arguably the best purpose club rugby stadium in the country and a terrific venue for players and supporters alike.  I’m sure we’ll have three excellent games of rugby, which will be as competitive and hard fought as those in the full RBS 6 Nations Championship, whilst featuring the most exciting young talented players.”

The Wales games is on a weekend where we don't have a fixture, the Ireland game is the night before we play Leicester away.
